Stats put 20-year-old cricketer above his Indian counterpart.

(Web Desk) – The third T20I match between green shirts and black caps was overshadowed by Babar Azam’s achievement to become the fastest batsmen to 1000 runs in 20-over format of the game.

In what was his 26th T20 appearance, Babar Azam shattered the record held by Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who himself had achieved the milestone in 27 T20 matches.

But another Pakistani player also rewrote the record books in the same match that went unnoticed.

Shadab Khan has become joint-highest wicket taker in a calendar year in 20-over format along with India’s Jasprit Bhumra. Both have taken 28 wickets.

But stats put 20-year-old cricketer above his Indian counterpart. Shadab has achieved this milestone in 19 games whereas it took BUMRAH 21 matches to do the same.

Bumrah has set the record back then in 2016.
